We welcome Art Themen back to Googlies on Thursday 28^st October.  From 1976 to 1996 Art fronted the Stan Tracey Quartet, a job available to only the most talented musicians. Key influences are Sonny Rollins and Dexter Gordon and Art has toured worldwide and played and recorded with many American and British luminaries. A busy and sought after musician, Art is an extremely gifted performer who is known for his originality and highly individual style and was nominated for a 2019 British Jazz Award in the Tenor Saxophone category. Art is very popular at Googlies and early booking is recommended. Playing with Art will be Bill Yeomans – Saxes/Flute, Hilary Cameron – Piano & Vocals, Wally Shaw – Bass and John Jarvis – Drums.
