DESCRIPTION:Tim is an accomplished saxophonist who has performed extensively across the UK\, Europe\, and the USA. His notable career includes touring with Ian Carr’s Nucleus and Graham Collier Music in the 1970s (when he won the Young Jazz Musicians of the Year Award with his band South of the Border) and performing with the innovative big band Loose Tubes in the 1980s. Throughout the decades\, Tim has released several acclaimed albums including “English People\,” “Decision\,” “Authentic\,” “Silence Between Waves\,” and the highly praised “Personal Standards” and “Colour Beginnings.” He’s collaborated with numerous musicians including Giovanni Mirabassi\, Phil DeGreg\, and composer Colin Riley\, with whom he founded the Homemade Orchestra. Tim has been recognized with multiple awards and was the first ever musician Artist in Residence at Tate Britain\, where he composed music in response to JMW Turner’s works. DESCRIPTION:Julian Stringle (photo above) is a perennial favourite at Googlies. He is a local musician with a deservedly international reputation who has long been regarded as an outstanding performer on all his instruments – clarinet\, tenor sax and alto (and vocals). Julian has toured with top US clarinettist Ken Peplowski and he always brings out the best in those performing with him. In 2018 Julian was nominated for a British jazz award and in 2019 he won the British jazz award in the clarinet category.\nPete Neighbour is a highly respected clarinet and sax player. He travels extensively performing in his own inimitable style – ‘swing era jazz for the 21st century’.

DESCRIPTION:Vasilis is one of the highflyers of British jazz.  He is renowned\, not only for being an outstanding saxophonist but also as a bandleader\, composer and educator.  He was a member the Nigel Price Trio which won the Britsh Jazz Small Group Award. An evening with Vas is illuminated by his energy\, creativity and engaging manner.\nVasilis began his music education\, learning piano & clarinet\, at the age of ten in Athens\, the town of his birth. By 1999 he had graduated from Phillipos Nakas Conservatory and won a scholarship for the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. Following his graduation in 2001 he moved to England and\, to the delight of British jazz enthusiasts\, has settled here permanently.
