We extend a warm welcome to Sam Mayne for his first visit to Googlies. Sam studied at the Royal Academy and he was a member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra for several years. He has played in several Big Bands including John Dankworth’s Big Band, the BBC Big Band, Guy Barker’s Big Band, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra and Simon Spillett’s Big Band. Sam has played with all the greats of British jazz and is widely considered to be one of UK’s finest saxophonists.  He is highly recommended and not to be missed.
