Simon studied saxophone at the Royal Academy, after beginning his career with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.  Subsequently Simon was an integral member of both the Clark Tracey Quintet and the Stan Tracey Quartet.  Simon has been featuring in some outstanding bands of his own with which he has toured internationally.  At the time of his first visit to Googlies Simon was one of our youngest guests and he immediately established himself as a firm favourite with the audience and house band.  His enthusiasm for playing allied to a great technique and marvellous improvisational skills, enable Simon to produce jazz of the highest quality. Simon is now Head of Jazz at the Purcell School.
