Considered by many as one of, if not the, most accomplished jazz trumpeter in the UK, Steve came to London to study at Trinity College and was part of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra in the early eighties.  Since that time Steve has worked with pretty well everyone of note in the UK jazz world and led his own bands, featuring his own wonderful arrangements, with great distinction.  Steve’s style is not easily categorised, he has a wonderful technique, plays with great energy and taste and is clearly comfortable across a wide spectrum of jazz genres.  As well as being a sought-after performer Steve has taught at Wavendon and the Royal Academy of Music and wrote a book entitled ‘The Jazz Method for Trumpet’ published in 1995. www.stevewaterman.co.uk
